SUMMARY:Summer Medicine: Oxymel for Joy and Health
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make delicious Oxymel with Marie-Lies of Fleur + Forage\, with late summer herbs\, like Goldenrod and Tulsi\, harvested at Stellar Roots Herb Farm.  Oxymel is made by creating a menstruum of honey and apple cider vinegar\, in which plants are macerated to extract their medicinal properties.  Oxymel can be taken straight\, or added to sparkling water to create mocktails!  These non-alcoholic beverages are suitable for all ages.  We will start in the fields for plant ID and harvest\, and then move to the barn for medicine making.  Students will sample Oxymel and take a jar home to enjoy.\nTo sign up visit Stellar Roots Farm‘s website.

The training will take place in person at the Fleur + Forage Herbal Studio. DESCRIPTION:We will be setting up the free mobile and herbal clinic at the Heck.house on November 5th from 2-5PM. The free clinic is staffed with local herbalists and all the herbal preparations are made by myself and apprentices. Visitors sit with one of the herbalists for about 20 minutes so that the herbalist can help the visitor get the herbal support they need.  We offer herbal tinctures\, salves\, teas\, herbal shakers\, herbs for teeth and feet\, and aromatherapy support. Providers will also be offering Reiki and Mindfulness Meditation. We will also a crew member host a Fire Cider demo.\nThe event will take place outside\, in case of rain we will set-up under the pavilion. \nParking is on one side of Milton Street. \nThe services are offered free of charge.

DESCRIPTION:The Community Medicine Making Workshops take place four times a year. Each workshop will focus on a different herbal preparation skill: teas\, tinctures\, salves\, fire cider and/or shakers. The herbal preparations  we prepare in class will be used for the Fleur + Forage Free Clinic. On October 21st\, we will make herbal shakers. \nThe class will take place at the Fleur + Forage Herbal Studio in Kirkwood. \nThe cost is $20 donation that will go towards purchasing the herbs and supplies to make the remedies.
