DESCRIPTION:The Fleur + Forage Free Clinic set-up for the first time in March 2022 at Mercy Community Church. Since then we have expanded the amount of people we serve on a monthly basis. As of August 2024\, we have been setting up at 3 locations every month to offer free herbal remedies\, Reiki and acupuncture. \nThrough each set-up we build community as we interact with folks\, listening to their stories and needs. Sometime all the “medicine” they need is a listening hear\, other times it is an herbal preparation for XYZ or some acupuncture or Reiki. \nSeveral herbalists from Athens\, Ga have been traveling regularly to Atlanta to volunteer with us with a desire to create a similar model in their city. After many months of discussion and the Fleur + Forage Free Clinic becoming a 501c3 this summer\, we are making it a reality. On this December 3rd\, we are raising $5\,000 to buy the supplies and materials we need to create a new station (Ryobi toolbox set\, Tables\, Chairs\, Hot/Cold Tea Dispenser\, Tents as well as medicine making supplies). \nDonate using the QR code or by using this link \n \nThank you!

DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make delicious Oxymel with Marie-Lies of Fleur + Forage\, with late summer herbs\, like Goldenrod and Tulsi\, harvested at Stellar Roots Herb Farm.  Oxymel is made by creating a menstruum of honey and apple cider vinegar\, in which plants are macerated to extract their medicinal properties.  Oxymel can be taken straight\, or added to sparkling water to create mocktails!  These non-alcoholic beverages are suitable for all ages.  We will start in the fields for plant ID and harvest\, and then move to the barn for medicine making.  Students will sample Oxymel and take a jar home to enjoy.\nTo sign up visit Stellar Roots Farm‘s website.

SUMMARY:Monthly Free Clinic @ Mercy Community Church
DESCRIPTION:Through our monthly herbal clinic and pop-ups\, we focus on providing care for marginalized populations in Atlanta and the surrounding neighborhoods. Our remedies consist of a mix of herbal preparations\, supplements and foods. All the herbal remedies are made in house by several local herbalists\, including apprentices and practicing herbalists.\nWe will be setting up the Free Clinic one Wednesday a month* at Mercy Community Church through December 2024. Alongside the Fleur + Forage Apothebox\, other services are offered: Reiki\, chair massage\, and acupuncture. The Harriet Tubman Foot Clinic will set-up alongside us. Everyone is welcome. All services are free of charge. \n*Mercy Community Church is currently in the process of moving so they are no longer open on Thursdays.

SUMMARY:Herbal Self-Care with Unfolding Moon Botanicals
DESCRIPTION:Starting on April 12th\, 2024\, join@_unfolding_moon_botanicals and @fleurandforageatl for a 9 month herbal self-care class. Each month we will focus on a couple different medicine making techniques. \nAugust 16th\, will be an evening class. We will make salt and sugar scrubs plus body oils. The class will end with us using the salt or sugar scrub to exfoliate our feet and legs. \nStudents will take home a portion of the preparations we make in class. We will meet from 6PM-9PM. \nAs healers and care takers\, we are reminded daily how important self-care is? SUMMARY:Distillation Demo at the GHG Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This class is for people who are members of the Georgia Herbalist Guild.\nJoin us for botanical distillation using a copper still. We will be distilling fresh locally grown plants into their hydrosol and essential oil. A hydrosol is the water portion of a plant distillation. The Harriet Tubman Foot Clinic will set-up alongside us. Everyone is welcome. All services are free of charge.
