They moved to ATL in 2024 and intentionally sought out herbal community through research and found herbalista and the free school. Once she learned about f+f and the apprenticeship they quickly applied. She volunteers to grow herbal community, learn about herbalism and make medicine consistently, and support community by then giving it all away. Chey’s current favorite herb is lemon balm. New additions to our clinics for our herbal clinic New additions to our clinics for our herbal clinicians: 🍃Efficasafe membership so we can look up herb/drug interactions (info constently added as new research comes out) which means we got some tablets. I have been playing with the platform for a week and it is amazing what you can look up + learn. 🍃New intake forms so we can gather data more easily as clients come back. Thanks @sp1derw0man for your help yesterday. This will help us see positive and negative changes over time so we can adapt our plan of care accordingly. I am grateful to have been invited to join the Ter I am grateful to have been invited to join the Terra Sylva Bioregional Intensive Weekend over Labor Day. It was an awesome weekend filled with botany, deep conversations, tasting plants + noticing how they feel in one's body, and a scavenger hunt. On Saturday, we went on a plant walk with Marc Williams at Black Balsam Knob where I met so many plants for the first time (higher elevations bring new friends). On Sunday, Jen Stovall and Dave Meesters led us on another plant walk at Black Balsam Knob where we used our botany skills to ID plants (is it a Douglas Fir or a Spruce? 😉) but also spent some time talking about the land's history and our place in it. On Monday, we did a botany + plant scavenger hunt at Pink Beds which was a ton of fun. This morning at "Toesday" I had some very deep and This morning at "Toesday" I had some very deep and profound conversations with three guys about society, nature, and humans (nv know what conversations herbal medicine will spark, especially at this set-up. My favorite part). I have been pondering what J. shared from one of his experiences with a social worker: Her: "What do you want?" J: "I don't see anyone ever asking me what I need." Makes me think of how we phrase our words when setting up at various locations: are we focusing on passing out herbal preparations for what someone wants or what someone needs?
